How is heat transferred by conduction?

Heating Blue Water

Look at the video of conduction to explore what happens when you put a hot object (e.g., a hot plate) inontact with a cold one (e.g., a beaker of water).

About 5 ml of water colored with blue food coloring was pipetted into the bottom of a 100ml beaker of clear water. The beaker was placed onto a hot plate, and the heat was turned on low.
