1. Project: Animal Planet
1.1. Format
320 X 256 pixels, 100 frames minimum, QuickTime Video AND your Blender (.blend) file
1.2. Process
The object of this project is to create a 3D model of an animal. This can be any animal from insect to elephant and can be rendered with a realistic or cartoon look and feel. For instance you might model a North American moose and render it with an approximation of its color and texture or you might model a characterization of a moose (like Bullwinkle) and render it with a more cartoon appearance.
The 3D model must include an element of animation. This can be a simple as a camera fly around of the model or you might choose to animate the animal in some fashion (a walk, hop, mouth move, etc.). The model must also include multiple textures.
1.3. Project Files
This project requires 2 files:
The first file is a 320 x 256 pixel QuickTime Video (.mov) file.
The second file is your Blender file (.blend).
1.4. Student Examples
Examples of this project can be viewed in the Student Work folder.
