Ductus Epididymis, Higher magnification, Dog
Description:Here you can make out the seterocilia. However, it may be difficult to tell exactly what these structures are made up off. Thus, before the advent of thin-sections and electron microscopy, these were mistakenly identified as cilia. Now we know better. These are actually long microvilli which increase greatly the surface area of the columnar cells. H&E. Ductus epididymis. Male Reproductive System. Dog.
