Description:

The epididymis is a single tube-like structure line with pseudostratified stereociliated columnar peithelium with basal cells. The tube is highly coiled and we are seeing several cross sections of the same tube. The lumen appears to be smooth because the columnar cells are mostly of the same height. The wall of the epididymis contains smooth muscle cells and connective tissue elements. Sperms are stored in the epididymis and they undergo a maturation process are the pass throgh this tubular organ. Original mag. 25x. Epididymis. Male Reproductive System. Boar.
