2. General Notes

This week is dedicated mostly to understanding the basic attributes of the Blender file system. We will also continue on with some web tutorials in mesh modeling.

  • View the Video Tutorials posted below: Pivot Points, Maneuvering About, Blender Layers, Loading and Saving Files, Default File, Undo / Redo, Dump Window, Render Image and Render Screen.
  • Work through (with your copy of Blender open) the 3 PDF tutorials posted below: Mesh Modeling - Snowman Animation, Mesh Modeling - Candle and MyBlender.blend. Any files you might need for the PDF tutorials are located in the zip file associated with the tutorial. Right-click on the zip file link and download it to your computer. Open the zip file from there and extract the files.

This might also be a good time to start thinking seriously about your Project #1. You may want to put some pencil to paper and begin playing around in Blender expanding your ideas.
