Real Media Player Settings and PDF Instructions
After you download and install the latest version of the Real Media Player you will need to adjust the settings so that the video tutorials can play properly.
- Open Real Media Player. Click on the Tools button and choose Preferences. This will display Real Media Player's Preferences Panel.
- Select the Connection Preferences. Set the Normal to 384Kbps and the Maximum to 10Mbps and above.
Click OK to save this preference.
All of the Real Media video tutorials are in streaming video format and can only be viewed properly via a Broadband, DSL or LAN (like we have on campus) internet connection. A 56kb modem will not work. If you are having problems viewing the video tutorials let me know.
***Note on all PDF Tutorials***
To download the PDF tutorial, click on the "View PDF Tutorial" link. You must have the latest version of Adobe acrobat Reader installed on your computer to display the PDF file.
To download the associated zip file, right-click on the zip file link and download the zip file to your computer. You can open the zip file from your computer using WinZip or any "zip" opening utility software.
Some of the PDF tutorials have Streaming Video links. To view these streaming videos, click on the appropriate link. You must have the latest version of Real Media Player installed on your computer to view these files.
