Pleural Effusion in the Horse
Description:This slide shows a horse where a very abnormal lung field has been demonstrated by percussion. The aerated lung makes a horizontal ling along the ventral surface. This percussion result would be consistent with pleural effusion, or free fluid in the pleural space causing the horzontal fluid line.
