1. Hospitalization

Always establish the cause for hospitalization. Any untoward effects to anesthetics; analgesics (pain killers) such as codeine, morphine, antibiotics like penicillin, clindamycin. An antibiotic containing trimethoprim and sulphamethoxazole is used for URI’s (upper respiratory infection) and UTI’s (urinary tract infection). Establish if the patient had any unusual bleeding or transfusion during the hospitalization(s).
